z = x - (1/4)x

z = x-0.25x

z = 0.75x

Step 3:

Now, for cookies as mentioned flour used for cookies is one third more than flour used in brownies therefore;

x = (1/3)y + y

x = 0.33y + y

x = 1.33y

Value of z from step 2:

z = 0.75x

now put value of x from step 3 in above equation;

z= 0.75 (1.33y)
