The perimeter of a rectangle is 24 inches. If the

length is 5 times the width, what is the area, in
square inches?

20 square inches

Explanation:

First you have to find what the length and width is, of course.

Personally, I used guess and check. I drew a rectangle and started multiplying things until I got something that ends up matching what the rectangle has to be. 2 and 10. 2 x 5 = 10. and 2+2+10+10=24 (aka the perimeter) so i then multiplied 2x10 because length x width = area

2x10 = 20 so there you have it, that's your area
