Explanation:

The hypotenuse of the right triangle having sides 4 units and 6 units will be


\sqrt{4^(2) + 6^(2)} = 7.21 units

Now the right triangular prism has two triangular faces of the equal area at top and bottom and there are three rectangular faces at the sides of different areas.

Now, if the height of the prism is 8 units, then total surface are will be

=
2((1)/(2)* 4 * 6) + (4 * 8 + 6 * 8 + 7.21 * 8)

= 161.68 sq. units.
