\frac a b = \frac c d

Cross multiply,

ad = bc

Add ac to both sides,

ad + ac = bc + ac

Factor,

a(d+c) = c(b+a)

Divide by (b+a)(d+c),

(a)/(b+a) = (c)/(d+c) \quad\checkmark
