If a motorbike is traveling at 25m/s and accelerates at 5m/s2( I think it is 5m/s^2 squared) for 3s, what is its final velocity? Show your working.

We can solve this by using:

\vec{v}=\vec{v_0}t+(1)/(2)\vec{a}t^2

Plug in the numbers:

\vec{v}=25\mathrm{(m)/(s)}\cdot3\mathrm{s}+(1)/(2)\cdot5\mathrm{(m)/(s^2)}\cdot (3\mathrm{s})^2=\boxed{97.5\mathrm{(m)/(s)}}

Hope this helps.
