The shoe store’s clerks are paid on commission. If the clerk receives a 12% commission on total purchase amounts before tax is applied, how much would the commission be for Isaac’s purchase with and without a coupon? (2 points)

Answer:

The total before the tax was 59.25 so you multiply that by the clerks commision rate. You get 7.11 as your total.

his commission is: $ </p > < p> 7.11

since ---> 59.25 is the value be fore adding tax : then --->

his commission is 12% of 59.25

i.e 12/100 x 59.25 = 7.11.
