Identify the type of evidence illustrated in the following argument: I don't believe that the internet can ever be a reliable source for students to use in their work, at least as long as it remains unregulated as it is now. With so many different web sites out there and no way to verify the validity of the information on them, the internet is just too hit and miss to be of any use. It's just like a bad baseball player; if you only hit one ball out of ten, it doesn't matter if the one you hit is a homerun - the major leagues don't want you.

Answer:

In this case the general argument of the text is based in a reason that is composed by a claim, and it is supported by an example of a baseball player.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case the general argument of the text is based in a reason that is composed by a claim, and it is supported by an example of a baseball player. The author explains about the way in which he/she disagrees with the use of the internet as a reliable source for research because it is an unregulated mean of communication.

Nevertheless, this is a weak inductive argument that leads the author to the conclusion because it is not based in specific fact or data, it is merely based in an opinion that has some probability, and uses an example that could not be related to the topic itself at all.
