64 more laps are needed to reach her goal

Solution:

Given that Liz is traning for a swim meet her goal is to swim 100 laps

she swam 12 laps in the pool on each of 3 days

To find: Number of laps more needed to swin to reach her goal

From given information,

Liz swam 12 laps in the pool on each of 3 days, Which means Liz swam 12 laps on each of 3 days

So number of laps completed in 3 days:

number of laps completed in 3 days = 3 x 12 = 36 laps

So number of laps more needed to swin to reach her goal can be calculated by subtracting number of laps completed in 3 days from her goal of 100 laps

number of laps more needed to swin to reach her goal = 100 laps - 36 laps = 64 laps

If "L" is the number of laps more needed to swin to reach her goal, we can frame a equation as:

L = 100 - 36 = 64

So 64 more laps are needed to reach her goal
