the farmer plants 0.4 of the total field which is 2.3 acres

⇒0.4×2.3= 0.92 acres

now draw a grid of area 2.3 acres and in that area shade 0.92 acres.Use a proper scale to draw the grid. It will a be pictorial representation of the proper and its solution.
