1. The breeze from the open window stirred the curtain, and the curious kitten turned to watch. The curtains shifted, and the kitten crept closer and closer. The next time the curtain shifted, the kitten batted at it with a tiny paw. Suddenly a tiny goldfinch landed on the windowsill and began to chirp. The kitten stopped and watched the bird. The kitten was completely still. The goldfinch fluttered its yellow wings, took a few steps on the windowsill, and chirped again.

2. Mr. Harvey had laid out all of his camping gear the night before, so it was short work to get it all packed up in his knapsack. He filled his canteen and made himself a few sandwiches. Then he filled a thermos with water for his dog, Winnie was beside himself with antipacion. Mr. Harvey could barely get the collar an him ad Winnie danced around with excitement.​

One: I think that the kitten is going to pounce on the goldfinch. Whenever the curtain shifts, the kitten swats at it, so it will swat at the goldfinch.

Two: Mr. Harvey and Winnie will have a good time on their camping trip because they wouldn't have been dancing around with excitement if this wasn't true.
