We know that the numbers present are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16

The odd numbers are 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15

The even numbers are 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16

There are 8 even numbers and 8 odd numbers.

And also if we pick a number it should be either an even number or an odd number.

Probability(Getting an even number) =
(even number)/(even number+oddnumber)

Probability =
(8)/(8+8) = 1/2

Therefore picking an even number is an as likely event and it's probability is 1/2
