Now, from the given table we see that (1,-7) and (2,-9) are two points on the straight line.

Therefore, the equation of the straight line will be


(x - 2)/(2 - 1) = (y - (- 9))/(- 9 - (- 7))

⇒ - 2x + 4 = y + 9

2x + y + 5 = 0

Therefore, in slope-intercept form we get,

y = - 2x - 5 (Answer)
