A container ship left Diego Garcia and traveled toward Tahiti at an average speed of. 10 km/h. Sometime later a cruise ship left traveling in the opposite direction with an average speed of 20 km/h. After the container ship had traveled for one hour the vessels were 30 km apart. Find the number of hours the cruise ship traveled.

Answer:

1 hour

Explanation:

Both ships start from the same position and in the opposite direction. As we know container ship travels 10km/h so it made 10 km distance in 1 hour. Distance is 30 km, then 30 km-10 km=20 km. And 20 km matches 1 hour travel of cruise ship as we know.
