Answer:

rate of slower cyclist=18 km/h

rate of faster cyclist=26 km/hr

Explanation:

let the rate of the slower cyclist= x

and the rate of the fastest cyclist will be= x+8

so according to conditions the distance time is 4 hours so multiply both by 4

distance=travel time x rate of travel

..

4x+4(x+8)=176

4x+4x+32=176

8x=176-32

8x=144

X= 144/8= 18

x+8= 18+8=26

rate of slower cyclist=18 km/h

rate of faster cyclist=26 km/hr
