3x-2y=8

----------------

3(2x+3y)=3(27)

-2(3x-2y)=-2(8)

-----------------------

6x+9y=81

-6x+4y=-16

------------------

13y=65

y=65/13

y=5

2x+3(5)=27

2x+15=27

2x=27-15

2x=12

x=12/2

x=6

------------------

x+y=6+5=11
