An airplane flies with a constant speed of 560 miles per hour. How far can it travel in 4 hours?

Sarah rides her bike with a constant speed of 12 miles per hour. How far can she travel in
3 1/2 hours?

If an airplane flies at 560 MPH, then for 4 hours you would want to take 560 x 4. if you do that you will get 2240. So in four hours the plane can travel 2240 miles.

Well for 12 MPH, that’s a full hour but you can easily divide 12 in half to get how long it would take in half an hour. So 12 x 3 is 36 (for the full 3 hours) and then for the 1/2 hour, you would have to do 12 divided by 2 which is 6. so 36 + 6 is 42. so in 3 1/2 hours, Sarah can bike 42 miles.
