Given that the endpoints are A ( 9, 8) and B (3,5)-

As we know that-

If a line segment AB is with endpoints (
x_(1), y_(1)) and (
x_(2), y_(2) then the mid points C are-

C = (
(x_(1) + x_(2)  )/(2) ,
(y_(1) + y_(2)  )/(2) )

Here,

A (
x_(1) = 9, y_(1) = 8
and B (
x_(2) = 3, y_(2) =5

then the midpoints C are-

C = (
(9 + 3 )/(2),
(8 + 5 )/(2)

C= ( 12/2 , 13/2 )

C = ( 6, 6.5 )

Hence the midpoints are (6, 6.5).
