You should put -6x under the 9X and 6X. So the 6X cancels out, then you would do -1Y or -Y on both sides , -Y cancels out that. So your left with 15X =5Y

Answer:

y = 3x

Explanation:

Given

9x - y = - 6x + 4y ( subtract 4y from both sides )

9x - 5y = - 6x ( subtract 9x from both sides )

- 5y = - 15x ( divide both sides by - 5 )

y = 3x
