Suppose that for all t, a particle moving with constant speed is parameterized by r(t). Given that the length of the path from t = 5 to t = 7 is equal to 8, find the value of the speed, llv(t)ll.

Answer: value of the speed, llv(t)ll = 4.0

Explanation:

Given;

time interval t1 =5, t2= 7

Length of path ( distance) L = 8

Speed = distance travelled/ time taken

Speed = dL/dt

Speed = 8/(t2-t1) = 8/(7-5)

Speed = 8/2

Speed = 4.0

Since it's moving at constant speed the speed = 4.0
