Napoleons view of the revolution:

  • After his homecoming, Napoleon witnessed collapsed French government and launched a coup which made him French emperor in subsequent years.
  • Napoleon submitted himself strongly to the ideals of French revolution. Because of his military background, he was the most proficient man to lead France and rebuilding it from the remnants of the revolution.
  • He was the product of French revolution and an ideal leader that people of France strived for.
  • He expanded French boundaries and rose France to its former glory.
