m is the numbers of erasers,

x is the cost of each erasers.

Given:-
m=19, y=3

by putting these value in the above equation,

i.e.
y=mx

we get,


3=19x


x=(3)/(19)


x=0.157

Now for 45 erasers substitute the value of
x=0.157

so, we get
y=45* 0.157


y=7.065

cost of 45 erasers are $7.065
