You first have to make the two fractions equivalent to do this you should first change 2/3 into an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 6, so we multiply both 2 and 3 by 2 giving us 4/6. This number can go into 5/6 once with a remainder of 1/6.

In this case, you didn't ask for the remainder, so it would just be 2
