Answer: 69

Explanation:

Let the original employee be x , this means that

116% of x = 80


(116x)/(100) = 80

116x = 8000

divide through by 116

x = 8000/116

x = 68.96551724

Since we are dealing with employees , therefore x ≈ 69

This means that there were 69 employees originally
