Answer:

Weight of each large box
x=15.75kg

Weight of each small box
y=13.75kg

Explanation:

Given:- Two equations are given,

Equation 1 :-
7x+9y=234

Equation 2:-
5x+3y=120

let,

x=weight of large box in Kilogram.

y=weight of small box in Kilogram.

Now,

multiply Equation 1 by 2 and Equation 2 by 6,

So we get 2 new equations,

Equation 3:-
14x+18y=468

Equation 4:-
30x+18y=720

Now after subtracting Equation 3 from Equation 4 we will get a new equation,

i.e. Equation 5:-
16x=252

therefore
x=15.75

now, put the value of x in Equation 1, so we will get

(7x15.75)+9y=234

110.75+9y=234

9y=234-110.75

9y=123.75

y=123.75/9

y=13.75

So, weight of each large box i.e.
x=15.75 kilogram

and weight of each small box i.e.
y=13.75 kilogram
