Answer: 138

Explanation:

Let the first number be x , the second number be x + 2 and the third number be x + 4 since they are consecutive even numbers.

Their sum implies:

x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 408

3x + 6 = 408

subtract 6 from both sides

3x + 6 - 6 = 408 - 6

3x = 402

divide through by 3

3x/3 = 402/3

Therefore x = 134.

The numbers are :

134 , 136 and 138 , this means that the largest number is 138
