The following are some features of the Harding-Coolidge Agenda:

  • The United States would put limits on its own involvement in international affairs.
  • It would keep itself aloof from permanent alliances.
  • The US would take all the necessary steps to maintain peace within its territory. Even if it means denying military help to other nations.
  • If any international agreement is to be made, it would be done on the grounds of established laws, not on the basis of military power.
  • These features were proposed to clearly isolate the United States from the rest of the world and its problems.
