The motion of a particle is given by the equation v = 8t3 – ½ t2 + 4t, where v is in meters and t is in seconds. Compute the value of a at t=0. I got 98 m/s^2 but the answer key says 50m/s^2 so I think it must have been a typo. Can someone please check?

Answer:

4 m/s²

Step-by-step explanation:

v(t) = 8t³ – ½ t² + 4t

Acceleration is the first derivative of velocity with respect to time.

a = dv/dt

a = 24t² – t + 4

At t = 0, the acceleration is:

a = 4
