According to law of conservation of energy, energy is always undergoing transformation from one form to the other but is never being created or destroyed in the universe.

Step-by-step explanation:

The law of conservation of energy states “energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. It can only be transferred from one form to the other.” Thus the total energy in the universe would be a constant. In mechanical terms energy can be classified as potential and kinetic energy.

Potential energy is possessed by an object by virtue of its position or configuration. Kinetic energy is possessed by an object by virtue of its motion. Thus objects in motion will have kinetic energy and objects at rest will possess potential energy.

It is the potential energy that gets converted to kinetic energy and vice versa. There is no creation of energy or destruction of energy. Thus the sum of kinetic and potential energy which is called mechanical energy remains constant.

Answer:

Law of conservation of energy is one of the basic laws of the Physics.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Law of conservation of energy, the total energy of an isolated system doesn't change, Energy may be transformed from one to another but the total energy of an isolated system remains constant. There have different forms of energy like- kinetic energy, potential energy, chemical energy, thermal energy , electrical energy. the potential energy is converting into kinetic energy in the water falls. When kicking a football, energy is transferred from the body of the kicker to the ball.
