Prokaryotes:

  1. Mostly unicellular
  2. Without nucleus

Eukaryotes:

  1. Mostly multicellular
  2. With nucleus

Present in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes:

  • presence of DNA

From these observations, the students get to learn that prokatyotes are simple organisms which are mostly uni-cellular. They do not have a nucleus. There genetic material is dispersed in the cell.

The eukaryotes are more complex, multicellular organisms which have their genetic material present in the nucleus.
