Answer:

length\ of \ minor\ axis = 6

Explanation:

Given:

The given equation is.

x^(2) +4y^(2) =36 -------------(1)

We write standard equation of an ellipse

(x^(2))/(a^(2))+(y^(2) )/(b^(2) ) = 1-------(2)

So equation 1 divided by 36 for standard form of an equation

(x^(2))/(36)+(4y^(2) )/(36) = (36)/(36)

(x^(2))/(36)+(y^(2) )/(9) = 1

So we compare equation 1 and equation 2.

we get
a^(2) =36 and
b^(2) =9

so
a =6 and
b =3

The length of the minor axis is
2* b

Here
b=3.

length\ of \ minor\ axis = 2* 3

length\ of \ minor\ axis = 6

Therefore the length of the minor axis is 6
