The formula of an area of a triangle:


A=(b\cdot h)/(2)

b - base

h - height

Substitute:


A_1=((2)(2.2))/(2)=(4.4)/(2)=2.2\ in^2


A_2=((2)(1.7))/(2)=1.7\ in^2


S.A.=3A_1+A_2


S.A.=3(2.2)+1.7=6.6+1.7=8.3\ in^2
