When a constant force is applied to an object, the acceleration of the object varies inversely with its mass. When a certain constant force acts upon an object with mass 4 kg , the acceleration of the object is 19 m/s^2. When the same force acts upon another object, its acceleration is 2 m/s^2. What is the mass of this object?

Finding magnitude of force:-

We know, F = ma ...(A)

⇒ F = (4 kg)(19 m/s²)

⇒ F = 76 kg m/s² = 76 N

Now finding the require mass of the second object,

By using the same formula "(A)", we get,

m = F/a

⇒ m = (76 N)/(2 m/s²) = (76 kg m/s²)/(2 m/s²)

⇒ m = 38 kg {answer}
