The area of a rectangle is 40 m one of the sides is 10 m what are the measurements in meters of the other 3 sides?

Explanation:

Here, the area of the rectangle = 40 sq m

Let us assume the width of the rectangle 10 m

The Length of the side = K m

Now, the Area of the RECTANGLE = LENGTH x WIDTH

⇒ 40 sq m = 10 x K

or, K = 40/10 = 4

or, K = 4 m

Hence, the length of the rectangle = 4 m

Now, in the rectangle" OPPOSITE SIDES ARE EQUAL"

So, the all 4 sides of the rectangle are 4 m , 10 m , 4 m and 10 m.
