One number is 8 more than the other number. Twice the smaller number is 7 more than the larger number. What are the numbers?

Answer:

smaller no=15, larger no=23

Explanation:

let x be the smaller no and y be the larger no

ac/ques, y=x+8............(1)

and 2x=y+7..............(2)

y=2x-7 put equ (1)

2x-7=x+8

x=15

x=15 put in equ (1)

y=15+8=23

x=smaller no=15, y= larger no=23 answer
