I believe it is A.

Explanation:
For B: Mutations normally do not occur that quickly or by choice. It is an accident in genes and dna that occur
C: I mean this choice is possible but it is not likely. Most species can’t just mate with another.
D: it’s not really making the environment more suitable, they are becoming easier prey if they can’t adapt
This means A must be the answer
