Answer:

x=2 and y=-1

Explanation:

6y - 3x = - 12------------1

x= - 4 - 6y---------------2

Putting value of x from 2 in 1

6y- 3 (-4 -6y) = -12

6y +12+18y= -12

24y= - 12 -12

24y= -24

y = -24/24

y = -1--------------3

Putting the value of y from 3 in 1

x= -4 -6 (-1)

x= -4 +6

x=2------------4

Answer: y = -1

Explanation:

6y - 3x = -12 ........................ equation 1

x = -4 - 6y ............................ equation 2

Using substitution method to solve the system of linear equation

substitute x = -4 - 6y into equation 1 , we have

6y - 3 ( -4 - 6y ) = -12

Expanding , we have

6y +12 +18y = -12

24y + 12 = -12

subtracting 12 from both sides ,we have

24y = -24

y = -24/24

y = -1

Therefore , the y value is -1
