Javier is going to buy a new phone and data plan. A cell phone from Sprizon costs $300 with a data plan that costs $70 per month. The same cell phone and data plan from TA&A cost $500 and $45 per month, respectively. After how many months will the two plans cost the same amount? Solve by setting up and solving an equation.

Answer:

Explanation:

1. Make an equation for Sprizon, and for TA&A.

S- 300+70x

TA&A -500+45x

( let X represents the amount of months)

2. Set the equations equal to each other.

300+70x=500+45x

3. Solve by subtracting 45x on both sides

then you will get 300 +25x=500

Now subtract 300 on both sides to get 25x= 200

Divide by 25 on both sides to get x=8

--------------------8 months.
