An important tenet of labeling theory is the recognition that some individuals or groups have the power to define labels and apply them to others. This view shares the emphasis on the social significance of power maintained by thefunctionalist perspective.conflict perspective.interactionist perspective.global perspective.

Answer:

conflict perspective

Step-by-step explanation:

The conflict perspective views society as being in constant conflict and struggle between different social groups. This theory was developed by Karl Marx in an attempt to describe the continuous conflicts that arise when people (and business) all compete against each other for the possession of limited resources.

As individuals we normally try to fit into some social group and therefore we label ourselves and others in order to identify people (including ourselves). We consider ourselves something and other people are labeled as something else.
