In recent years, economists have begun to use height as a measure of health and, indirectly, general well-being. Overtime, people in high-income countries have, on average, becometaller, just as people in high-income countries today are taller than people in low-income countries. An analysis of economic indicators suggests that Country A has recorded remarkable growth for the last 50 years. A student of economics, who analyzes the economic data as part of his college project, comes to the conclusion that the average height of the country's population should have increased during this period.Which of the following, if true, would undermine hisconclusion?A.Nutritionists believe that people with access to healthy food often choose less healthy alternatives when economic conditions are difficult.B.During this period, the populations of several low-income countries suffered from periodic epidemic attacks.C.The government has been firm in its stance of not allowing international fast food chains to operate inside the country.D.The country imposed a single-child per family law thirty years ago.E. Faced with a negative population growth rate, the country relaxed immigration control norms 25 years ago.

Answer:The answer is D

Step-by-step explanation:

Population growth is the increase in the number of people who occupies a geographical location or a state at a point in time The growth rate of a population is the rate of increase in the size of that population per unit . The growth rate of a population is based on factors such as the birth rate which is the rate of birth per the population of a country. The birth rate can be increased if the medical facilities in the country is improved because it means that the pregnant mother's will be able to give birth to their babies without having to die with the babies while they are given birth or the babies dies when been given birth to, also the population growth rate is also determines by the death rate of a country, the death rate is known as the mortality rate, the death rate is the rate at which people dies in the country. It could also be as a result of poor medical facilities in the country which could have helped to prevent death of people in the country.in the sense that , people tend to die from diseases which are curable but because of poor medical facilities they tend to die from such disease.

The othe factors immigration which is the rate at which people leave their country of birth to other countries of the world either for economic reasons or political reasons. while emigration on the other hand is the rate at which people move out of their country to other countries of the world. While immigration is capable of increasing the population of a country, emigration is capable of decreasing the population of a country.
