Answer:

length=14 Inches

Width= 4 inches

Explanation:

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2(l+w)

2(l+w)=36 (Equation 1)

The length is 2 inches greater than three times the width

l=2+3w (Equation 2)

Putting value of l from equation 2 in equation 1

2(2+3w+w)=36

2(2+4w)=36

4+8w=36

8w=32

w=32/8

w=4 Inches

Putting value of w in equation 2

l=2+(3*4)

l=14 Inches
