For this case we have a function of the form
y = f (x)where:

f (x) = - 2x-1

We must find the value of the function when
x = -7. So:

f (-7) = - 2 (-7) -1

By definition we have to:

- * - = +\\f (-7) = 14-1 = 13

Thus, the value of the function is
y = 13

Answer:

y = f (-7) = 13
