A snapshot can be defined as a photograph taken for the purpose of recording. A snapshot is most similar to the incremental backup scheme.

Step-by-step explanation:

An incremental backup scheme is the one that reflects changes in the successive copies of data. For instance, a certain database exists and contains information about the existing employees and its snapshot has been taken for the record.

Now, if any employee leaves the organization or a new employee joins the organization, the database will be altered and when compared with the previous record's snapshot, will reflect the changes that have occured.

Snapshot is similar to incremental backup.

Snapshot is a faster and easier type of backup wherein versions of backup images or pictures are stored in your local or external disk based on the recent change you have made. It only save enough data or information to undo the latest change you created. Traditional back up on the other hand is a complete copy of your system image, state or data. This is the oldest type of backup and much longer to implement. A large size of data to copy means, larger storage size and longer time to execute.
