Please help, I have two questions that I need answers to for 25 points!

Question: 1. The children's section is rectangular and has three of its corners at (-10, 10), (-10, 4), and (-3, 10). What is the area of the children's section, in square feet? Explain or show how you got your answer.


Question: 2. A 25-foot magazine rack begins 20 feet south of the checkout desk and continues south. What are the coordinates of the beginning and end of the magazine rack? Explain or show how you got your answer.

Answer:

1) 6+7=42
feet^(2)

2) Beginning (0,0,-25) end (0,-20,-25)

Explanation:

1) Plot these point on graph. By this you can determine the fourth coordinate(-3,4) as it is a rectangle.

So, length =7

breadth =6

area =7*6 =42
feet^(2)

2) Here height of rack is 25 feet thus it's Z coordinate is -25.

It moved 20 feet south along Y axis thus Y coordinate = -20

No movement in X thus x coordinate =0

Thus , beginning (0,0,-25) end (0,-20,-25)
