The correct answers are the following.

First question:

During the 1820s there were a number of democratic reforms that changed the American political landscape. What were the major reforms and how did they affect the 1824 presidential election?

We are talking about what historians called the Age of Jacksonian Democracy, from 1824 to 1840. There is also another name to identify these years: the Era of a Common Man. We are talking about the beginning of the presidency of Andrew Jackson, and the influence he exerted during his time. Let's have in mind that during the Presidential election of 1824, neither candidate won a majority in the electoral vote and it was the Congress that had to decide for a winner. And the winner was John Quincy Adams. The defeated candidate: Andrew Jackson. Four years later, the rematch was set. This time Jackson defeated Adams, and this marked the beginning of the Democrats in power.

Second question:

Describe the major issues during the presidency of John Quincy Adams. Why do you think Adams failed to win a second term as president?

The permanent problem that Adams had when he was President was the fierce opposition in Congres from legislators that supported Andrew Jackson. This difficult relationship ended up with few trie accomplishments during his presidency. For instance, he wanted to provide territories to the Native American Indian tribes in the west, but Congress rejected the idea. Furthermore, heading to his reelection he was accused of corruption acts during his government.
