What I did was graphed it, and looked for the highest or lowest point. That point will be the vertex.

Knowing the formula to find the vertex of a parabola as -b/2a=x

In the equation b=6 and a=-3

Thus, -(6)/2(-3)=1

Plug in 1 back to the equation

-3(1)^2+6(1)+24

= -3+6+24

=27
