A square has a perimeter of 48 centimeters. the square is a dilated by a factor of 1.5. what is the length of each side of the new square?

Answer:

18 cm is the new side length

Explanation:

For the original side length:

Because it's a square... 48/4=12

So 12 is the original side length

Now 48 x 1.5 = 72, divide it by 4 and you get 18

You can also do it like 12 x 1.5 to directly get 18
