Explanation:

2/3 +1/4

We get the Least Common Multiple and that is 12. Dividing 12 by the denominator, 3 in the first fraction gives 4. i.e. 12/3= 4. Then 4×2 ( numerator) is 8. 8+ (12/4 ×1) = 8 + 3= 11.

Thus we have 11/12 as the answer
