Answer:

For the time period 2000 to 2001, the percent increase in newspaper circulation is 12 %.

For the time period 2001 to 2002, the percent increase in newspaper circulation is 12.64 %.

Explanation:

Given:

Newspapers circulation in 2000 = 3250

Newspapers circulation in 2001 = 3640

Newspapers circulation in 2002 = 4100

Now, change in newspapers circulation from 2000 to 2001 is given as:

Change for 2000-2001 = 3640 - 3250 = 390

Therefore, percent increase in newspaper circulation is given as:

\%\ increase=\frac{\textrm{Change in circulation}}{\textrm{Original circulation in 2000}}* 100\\\%\ increase=(390)/(3250)* 100=12\%

Therefore, for the time period 2000 to 2001, the percent increase in newspaper circulation is 12 %.

Now, change in newspapers circulation from 2001 to 2002 is given as:

Change for 2001-2002 = 4100 - 3640 = 460

Therefore, percent increase in newspaper circulation is given as:

\%\ increase=\frac{\textrm{Change in circulation}}{\textrm{Original circulation in 2001}}* 100\\\%\ increase=(460)/(3640)* 100=12.64\%

Therefore, for the time period 2001 to 2002, the percent increase in newspaper circulation is 12.64 %.
