To figure out slope, or m, it is the change in y over the change in x or rise over run.

You subtract the y-coordinates

-6-6 = -12

Then you subtract the x-coordinates

You divide the two (the change in y over the change in x)

Your slope, or m, is 2 or 2/1

You then plug the slope and y-intercept into slope-intercept form (y=mx+b) to receive
