The population of a country in 1950 was 6.2 X 107. The population in 2030 is

projected to be 3 X 102 times the 1950 population. If the projection is correct,

what will the population of the country be in 2030?

Answer:

The population of the country be in 2030 is
1.86* 10^(10)

Explanation:

The population of a country in 1950 was
6.2* 10^7

The population in 2030 is projected to be
3 *10^2 times the 1950 population.

If the projection is correct.

which means the population in 2030 is projected to be
3 *10^2 times the 1950 population.

i.e. population of the country be in 2030 is

P=(3 *10^2)* (6.2* 10^7)

P=(3*6.2)* (10^2* 10^7)

P=18.6* 10^9

P=1.86* 10^(10)

Therefore, the population of the country be in 2030 is
1.86* 10^(10)
